Overcoming Charging Challenges

Wireless Charging for Laptops an idea worth exploring?

Ever since high school, I have been using bulky laptops to complete all my academic tasks and studies. These laptops were large and heavy due to the limitations of the technology at that time . Overtime, they evolved, and we had compact and lighter laptops which were easier to move around with and work on . There was about a 40% change in the average weight of the laptop. The images below can show you the drastic change in these Hp pavillion model from 2013 to 2024.

Challenges with Traditional Chargers:

However, manufacturers still haven’t addressed one problem: the bulky wired charger required to charge these laptops. As technology has evolved, many of our small personal devices now feature wireless charging capabilities . Only Lenovo has come to implement this technolgy with their Lenovo Go products. Developers designed these products as laptop power banks, necessitating users to charge the power bank and connect it to the laptop using a USB Type-C cable.  It can be found at the following link: Lenovo Go wireless power bank.
